The TurtleNeck Patented Stretch Features was an idea conceived because there was a need for better fitting horse clothing. To address that need, we looked at the primary stress points and non-protected areas of traditional rugs and sheets. Then we modified our patterns, fabrics and components to produce what are now the most unique horse clothing products on the market today. After extensive testing, improvements and modifications we have created a concept that provides your horse with the best fit possible which results in unmatched protection against the most extreme weather conditions.

FLEXIBLE ELASTIC NECKLINE

This is the defining feature and the inspiration for the TurtleNeck brand. Through extensive testing and modification we have developed the perfect elastic to fabric ratio, which results in an incredible fit and unsurpassed protection from extreme weather conditions. Using the highest quality elastic in the neckline allows it to snug up comfortably when your horse is still, yet moves freely when he is in motion. This design feature eliminates gaps in the neck and shoulder area, which will keep cold wind, rain and snow out and warmth in. You can rest assured when your horse is wearing a TurtleNeck; he is well protected and comfortable. In 2001 we introduced this concept to the marketplace, and even though there have been attempts to imitate our stretch features, only Patented TurtleNeck products offer the level of protection and comfort that sets the highest standards for horse clothing.

FLEXIBLE SHOULDER GUSSETS

Shoulder gussets have always been a standard for top quality horse clothing, however, we have taken it to a new level. To compliment our elastic neckline, we incorporated the stretch feature into the shoulder gussets. This has resulted in enhancing the protection and comfort elements of the TurtleNeck. The gussets work with the neckline to form a pocket around the shoulders, allowing increased freedom of movement. This reduces or completely eliminates shoulder rubs.

DETACHABLE ELASTIC BELLY STRAPS

To further enhance our stretch features, we were the first to use this concept. Now the detachable elastic belly straps are widely used by top brand companies. We are happy they are doing so, because it offers more horses this essential safety feature. Using elastic straps will prevent those terrible moments when a horse gets his leg hung in a strap and either tears the blanket up or injures himself. We didn’t patent this feature because we believe all horse clothing should be as safe as possible for our equine friends.

DETACHABLE FLEECE COLLAR

Our newest patent and a great feature for you. Our products are now made with a detachable fleece collar that will save you time and money. Often enough it would be easier to hose your blanket off rather than washing it, but the fleece gets too dirty and abrasive you have to launder the whole blanket. Not anymore, now you can simply take the dirty collar off and replace it with the extra clean one, which is provided, with your TurtleNeck.

Your TurtleNeck now comes with a spare parts kit for your convenience. This kit includes an extra fleece collar, belly strap, and rear leg strap.
